APF Canada’s education programming builds Canadians’ Asia competencies and overall awareness of Asia, with a particular focus on younger Canadians. This work has included curriculum support at the secondary school level through our Asia Pacific Curriculum project and engagement with educators and subject matter experts to support the teaching of Asian Canadian history. APF Canada also partners with other organizations to give Canadian youth the opportunity to experience Asia first-hand, such as through our Kakehashi bilateral exchange project with Japan and our India Connect internship program in partnership with Simon Fraser University. Canadian young professionals expanding their skills, knowledge, and networks to support Canada-Asia engagement. On behalf of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APF Canada, with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Center, administers the Japan-Canada Kakehashi Project.
