# Working in Canada as an International Student. If your study permit has a condition that restricts you from working off-campus while you are in a non-eligible program, you can apply to change the conditions of your study permit once you have been accepted to a full-time program that meets the eligibility requirements to work off-campus. - If you are a newly admitted student in an undergraduate or diploma program and Summer is your first term of study, you are not eligible to work full time hours as you don't meet the eligibility criteria for full-time work during that term. If you are an undergraduate or diploma student you can work on-campus in your final term of study if you are a part-time student **only if you have maintained your full-time status in every other academic term of you program** and you're only studying part-time because you don't need a full-time course load to complete your program requirements.
