Through Employment and Social Development Canada, the YESS Program (Youth Employment and Skills Strategy) offers up to 16 Programs including the Canada Summer Jobs Program, through 12 federal departments to Youth. The Canada YESS program funds not-for-profit organizations and other eligible groups to provide tailored supports to vulnerable youth, such as mentorship, counselling, dependent care support, and paid work experience. This program helps all youth aged (15-30) to navigate through the labour market and to successfully transition into sustained employment. Participants will be paid an allowance equivalent to the provincial minimum wage rate, during Employment Skills Training and Employment Services. **Please note this is a 14-week program in which participants must attend all sessions!!!**. **Employment Skills Training (held virtually)** – Essential and Employment skills including career exploration, and other activities aimed at improving employment readiness and job maintenance. **Employment Services (held virtually)** – Short-term training activities designed to assist in job searching and how to obtain employment. **Quality Employment Opportunity (on site)** – Develop and enhance employability and occupational skills through practical on-the-job experience. Program Schedule – Monday- Friday 10:00am – 4:00pm (tentative times, depending on guest speakers). Employment Placement (On site) – 30 hours per week.
