Whether you are just getting started, have years of non-accredited coaching experience, or are a fully certified coach, below are some developmental opportunities you can pursue. Increased levels of engagement, goal attainment, improved relationships, performance development, professional growth, increased productivity and enhanced trust and collaboration are just a few of the benefits of taking a coach approach in the workplace. The Coaching Internship Program is offered annually (budget permitting) in which UBC employees who are pursuing professional coach training gain valuable experience coaching faculty and staff in addition to professional development, mentorship and funding towards the tuition cost of the accredited coach training program of their choice. The UBC Certificate in Organizational Coaching is an eight-month part-time International Coaching Federation Accredited Level 2 Coach Training Program that leads to the Certified Organizational Coach credential.

Students must complete 30 hours of practical coaching experience. Students must complete 30 hours of practical coaching experience. Completing the Competition Introduction Coach Evaluation meets the evaluation requirement. Students must complete a minimum of 30 hours of monitored coaching experience. Level 1 students must have their experience monitored and reviewed by a Competition Introduction Trained coach or higher. This coach must be trained in the sport in which a student is being evaluated. Level 2 students must have their experience monitored by a Competition Introduction “Certified” coach or higher. This coach must be certified in the sport in which a student is being evaluated. The evaluating coach must provide the student coach with a verification letter that includes:.
