Decluttering is Great. Minimalism is Even Better.

https://www.becomingminimalist.com/best/

In fact, I even use it in the title of my book, *The Minimalist Home: A Room-by-Room Guide to a Decluttered, Refocused Life*. *Everybody should remove the clutter from their homes and lives.* The process will transform your life and you’ll never regret it. And while decluttering is great, minimalism is even better. Decluttering is *the act of removing clutter from a room, an area, etc.* Removing items from our home that we know are no longer needed and are creating crowded messes or confusion. **Minimalism helps us reject consumerism.** There are WAY too many people who declutter their closets and shelves, only to fill up those spaces again with more purchased clutter. Minimalism helps break the trend of consumerism in our lives more effectively than simple decluttering. **Minimalism benefits more people.** Minimalism will always result in removing more things than decluttering. If you need to declutter your life, do it. Keep me in your prayers; I have four weeks to accomplish my decluttering/minimalizing.

Our Organizing Philosophy at Uncluttered Life® — The Uncluttered Life

organizing philosophy Decluttering clothes sorting process. We’d like to tell you a little bit about The Uncluttered Life® and our decluttering and organizing philosophy, so that when you read through our blogs and explore our website, you understand our point of view. To us, decluttering, editing and organizing doesn’t feel like a job because we’re passionate about it. It brings us great joy to work as professional organizers in the DFW Metro area to help you feel less overwhelmed by clutter. Having worked and studied with Marie Kondo and being one of three of Marie Kondo’s Certified Master Consultants in the DFW Metroplex, we believe the question is less about what “sparks joy” and more about what makes you feel like your authentic self. We want to help you understand why decluttering and organizing are so important to move you from “stuck” and overwhelmed to feeling lighter and unburdened. Decluttering makes you feel free, yet it takes a lot of physical and emotional work to get there.
