Inertia Enterprises[emerged from stealth](https://techcrunch.com/2026/02/11/twilio-co-founders-fusion-power-startup-raises-450m-from-bessemer-and-alphabets-gv/) in February with $450 million in Series A funding in a round led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from GV, Modern Capital, Threshold Ventures, and others. Its next generation, Demo 4, is currently under construction and is intended to test the company’s magnets in “fusion power plant-relevant scenarios.” Tokamak Energy raised [$125 million in November 2024](https://techcrunch.com/2024/11/20/fusion-startup-tokamak-energy-attracts-125m-for-its-egg-like-reactor-design/) to continue its reactor design efforts and expand its magnet business.
