John Howard Society of Ontario Logo. # Youth Training to Employment (YT2E). This program helps all youth aged (15-30) to navigate through the labour market and to successfully transition into sustained employment. Participants will be paid an allowance equivalent to the provincial minimum wage rate, during Employment Skills Training and Employment Services. **Please note this is a 14-week program in which participants must attend all sessions!!!**. **Employment Skills Training (held virtually)** – Essential and Employment skills including career exploration, and other activities aimed at improving employment readiness and job maintenance. **Employment Services (held virtually)** – Short-term training activities designed to assist in job searching and how to obtain employment. **Quality Employment Opportunity (on site)** – Develop and enhance employability and occupational skills through practical on-the-job experience. Program Schedule – Monday- Friday 10:00am – 4:00pm (tentative times, depending on guest speakers). Employment Placement (On site) – 30 hours per week. Students in grades 7–12 will get hands-on with interactive exhibits and learn about 140+ Skilled Trades, plus hear directly from tradespeople and employers about rewarding, life-changing career opportunities. A huge thank you to Reliance Home Comfort, Skills Ontario, Thames Valley DSB, and OYAP for making today’s Women in Skilled Trades & Tech Day such an inspiring experience! Sixteen of our students had the opportunity to explore a variety of skilled trades through hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world demonstrations. Today, our Grade 10 Career Studies students had the incredible opportunity to visit the College of Carpenters and Allied Trades, gaining real-world insight into pathways within the skilled trades.
