## A North Group company. # Youth Employment Fund (YEF). The Ontario government is expanding employment opportunities to help employers find the skilled workers they need and to help young people gain job skills and experience. Employers will receive incentives to help cover the cost of wages and training for new hires when they provide a job placement of four to six months. Employers can receive up to $6,800 to offset training and wage costs linked with a job placement. To be eligible for hiring incentive funding, you must:. * Be licensed to operate in Ontario. * Be compliant with legislation (health and safety, employment standards, etc.). * Provide job placements of four to six months in Ontario, and be covered by safety insurance. * A resident of Ontario between 15 and 29 years of age. **KING CITY** — The Ontario government is investing $1.5 million through the Skills Development Fund Training Stream to support youth in Aurora get the skills they need to land good-paying, in-demand jobs in agriculture.This funding is a part of our broader effort to strengthen Ontario’s workforce, improve productivity, and protect workers from U.S. tariffs. “Under the leadership of Premier Ford, our government is protecting Ontario by investing in the tools, training, and resources needed to keep our workforce strong,” said David Piccini, Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. In partnership with STEM Minds and Boreal Farms, *the Future of Food and Farming Skills Development for a Transitioning Industry* project will address existing skills gaps and meet the growing demand for workers in Ontario’s agriculture and agri-food sectors. “I’m proud to see this investment coming to Aurora to support youth and workers in building the skills they need for in-demand jobs in agriculture and agri-food,” said Dawn Gallagher Murphy, MPP for Newmarket—Aurora.

The Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) invests in community-led projects that play an essential role in creating safe spaces, empowering youth and families, supporting career pathways and addressing issues faced by our communities. Supporting grassroots groups and community-based collaboratives led by people who share identities, lived experiences and who face the same systemic barriers as those who will benefit from their projects is integral to YOF’s funding priorities. This grant is for youth-led grassroots groups and youth-adult partnerships that have over two years of experience delivering direct programming to youth. Grants support organizations, along with grassroots groups, partners and communities to come together and deeply reflect on the issues that youth face, and design approaches that will have lasting impact on systems. Organizational Mentors provide administrative support, project mentoring and financial accountability to grassroots groups funded through the Youth Innovations and Family Innovations streams.
