This paper provides a comprehensive survey and comparison of the latest open-source simulators that support GFM, with a focus on their capabilities and performance in machine-learning applications. Index Terms—Open-source power system dynamic simulator, grid-forming inverter, machine learning application. Machine learning methods require a large amount of data from power system simulators to accurately model power system dynamics and implement control following perturbations [2], [3].
