Grayson Fuller is the lead statistician and senior manager for the SDG Index, and of the team working on SDG data and statistics at SDSN. He is co-author of the Sustainable Development Report, for which he manages the data, coding, and statistical analyses. He also coordinates the production of regional and subnational editions of the SDG Index, in addition to other statistical reports, in collaboration with national governments, NGOs and international organizations such as the WHO, UNDP and [...] Since 2016, the Sustainable Development Report (SDR) has provided the most up-to-date data available to track and rank the performance of all UN member states on the SDGs. Eighty years after the creation of the UN system, the report also provides improved and updated measures to track countries' efforts to support UN-based multilateralism. In total, more than 200,000 individual data points are used to produce 200+ country and regional SDG profiles. This year's edition was authored by a group of [...] statistical offices (NSOs) and international organizations, NGOs, academics, and private-sector organizations that provided comments. The SDG Index and Dashboards combines data and analyses produced by international organizations, civil-society organizations, and research centers. numbers. Next slide please. After that pre-assessment step, uh we then have step one. And this step one is slightly different uh depending on whether the data series have 2030 target values or if they do not. For those data series with uh specific uh 2030 target values, we calculate the compound annual growth rate between the baseline of 2025 and the latest year. for example 2024. Uh after we get that uh ker we use it to extrapolate the expected value of 2030. So this step basically means [...] there is also a new additions to it which is called the SDG analytics part where you could do a lot of uh comparison, data availability, look up uh trends for a specific indicator or subindicator. These are things you can explore in the SDG database. I invite you to go through the link here to to to uh further dig deep into the database. There is more resource uh available there. Uh the third component we have is something that uh uh we started this year is to uh compile success stories. Uh now [...] we also basically label it clearly in the report. Next slide please. I will explain how we choose uh data series to include in the progress assessment. If you look at the figure on the right of the slide, this explains um the information architecture of the global indicator framework of the SDG. Uh the 2030 agenda itself has 17 goals, 169 targets, 234 unique indicators and then those indicators are further divided into about 500 data series and then each data series are further uh disagregated
