As part of our supportive community, you will build the critical life skills to thrive in today’s job market and launch your next chapter with confidence. #### *A five-month journey from where you are to where you want to be.*. * **Get Paid:** Receive a training stipend for this in-person experience. ##### After you go home, we provide three months of mentorship support to help you gain employment and excel at your new job. * **Ongoing Support:** Receive 1-on-1 coaching and application support to help you compete confidently in the job market.

This program helps all youth aged (15-30) to navigate through the labour market and to successfully transition into sustained employment. Participants will be paid an allowance equivalent to the provincial minimum wage rate, during Employment Skills Training and Employment Services. **Please note this is a 14-week program in which participants must attend all sessions!!!**. **Employment Skills Training (held virtually)** – Essential and Employment skills including career exploration, and other activities aimed at improving employment readiness and job maintenance. **Employment Services (held virtually)** – Short-term training activities designed to assist in job searching and how to obtain employment. **Quality Employment Opportunity (on site)** – Develop and enhance employability and occupational skills through practical on-the-job experience. Program Schedule – Monday- Friday 10:00am – 4:00pm (tentative times, depending on guest speakers). Employment Placement (On site) – 30 hours per week. # Road To Work Program. The Road to Work Program is a hands-on employment program connecting youth ages 18–25 with opportunities in construction, road building, and traffic safety. Through paid training at $15/hour, participants gain industry-recognized safety certifications and practical skills needed to enter the workforce with confidence. The Road to Work Program helps youth gain the skills, certifications, and experience needed to start a career in construction, road work, and traffic safety, all while earning during training. Through partnerships with industry employers, this program creates a direct path from training to employment. After training, participants are supported in applying for jobs with YOUCAN’s industry partners. * Desire to start a career in the construction, road work, or traffic safety industries. * Ability to attend 7 consecutive weeks of training, Monday to Friday (8:30am-4:00pm).
