John Howard Society of Ontario Logo. # Youth Training to Employment (YT2E). This program helps all youth aged (15-30) to navigate through the labour market and to successfully transition into sustained employment. Participants will be paid an allowance equivalent to the provincial minimum wage rate, during Employment Skills Training and Employment Services. **Please note this is a 14-week program in which participants must attend all sessions!!!**. **Employment Skills Training (held virtually)** – Essential and Employment skills including career exploration, and other activities aimed at improving employment readiness and job maintenance. **Employment Services (held virtually)** – Short-term training activities designed to assist in job searching and how to obtain employment. **Quality Employment Opportunity (on site)** – Develop and enhance employability and occupational skills through practical on-the-job experience. Program Schedule – Monday- Friday 10:00am – 4:00pm (tentative times, depending on guest speakers). Employment Placement (On site) – 30 hours per week. # Better Jobs Ontario (formerly Second Career Program) at George Brown Polytechnic. Ontario's new **Better Jobs Ontario** program may help you retrain for a new in-demand career. Accepted students can access up to $28,000 for training that is 1 year or less or $35,000 for programs that are up to 2 years in duration for tuition, living expenses, and more. Better Jobs Ontario has replaced Ontario's Second Career program. Better Jobs Ontario provides eligible applicants with both skills training for in-demand jobs and financial support. Better Jobs Ontario aims to help you rejoin the workforce quickly. At George Brown, we offer many programs that may meet the eligibility criteria for Better Jobs Ontario. The Bridge to Employment Program offers unemployed or under-employed Indigenous youth 18 to 34 years of age with the opportunity to benefit from defined client interventions that will enable them to develop job readiness skills and increase their chances of obtaining and keeping employment. ## Essential Skills for Success in the Bridge to Employment Program. With three specialized streams to choose from, participants can gain valuable skills and hands-on experience in real-world settings. Regardless of which program you choose, all participants will receive soft skills training on personal management, communication, presentation, collaboration, problem solving, job readiness, project management, resume building, financial literacy, interview skills, relationship building, community connections, and ongoing training opportunities. ### Community Health & Wellness .
